Congratulations to our Bride of the Month for May!
Our dear bride Uma planned a wonderful wedding with a clear budget in mind. The couple did up their own wedding slideshow too! Learn how this resourceful bride did it all!
We had been planning for our wedding for the past one year. We had a simple traditional wedding held at Sree Maha Mariamman Temple and dinner reception in Khalsa Association in December 2012.We had first listed out on a piece of paper what are the things we would require for our wedding and listed our budget. We did not wish to go over our budget.
I started searching for our photographer and videographer after booking our venues. I was very particular about this as it will remain as memories for my whole family after the wedding. After much consideration, we had booked Adnan Photography, a very talented guy. It was his first Indian wedding and the pictures were awesome and his package is also inclusive of our big picture photoframes. Next our videographer was Collis from Stereotwo Productions. We had our pre wedding done song titled TU HI MERA at Gardens by the Bay. It was such a wonderful experience.
We had our bridal photoshoot done at Bridal Zone. Our photos turned out really nice and we were happy with it. After receiving our photos, we downloaded pro- show gold and created our wedding slideshow with music and animation for our dinner reception. We decided that it was more fun to do it ourselves and we saved money too!
Our outfits were from Ambaji.They knew exactly what I wanted and Vinod matched my bangles accordingly. I still remembered Vinod playing music and arranging my bangles in order within minutes. He rocked the day! They also helped me to pick my wedding accessories from head to toe. After our wedding, my mum received many calls from day to night, all praising the way I looked. I was really happy and satisfied.
Our wedding car was from weddingcars.sg. We booked a limousine. And as for the dinner reception, we hired the car from Royal Rides Singapore.My outfit for dinner reception was from Glamz Collections, Shabana was the one who chose for me my gown.My make up artist was Vijeya Perumal, a freelancer. After I went for 6 trials, I had finally decided to book her. Trust me, makeup and clothings is one of the most important for any bride. Don’t stop till you find the right one.
So here I offered some tips of future couples out there who would want to have a budget wedding, a simple and yet fantastic one.
