Our Bride of the Month for August, Ms Angelica tells us of how she managed to create a beautiful wedding mirroring the diversity we have in Singapore today.

Love was a chapter in our journey in life and marriage was the next. Our wedding had a theme , the unity of two different races, "Racial Harmony". My husband Dinesh and I chose these theme as I wanted to try all the different ethnic costumes in Singapore!

We wore these Malay costumes and had Kompang accompanying us into the wedding hall at Lagun Sari located at Joo Chiat. After that we changed into Indian traditional costumes accompanied by Bhangra dancers. Lastly, he wore a tuxedo & I wore a gown accompanied by Lion dancers! I ll never forget that day. The music still rings in my ears when i think about my marriage. I was and am a happy bride! How many brides have Malay, Indian and Chinese culture all at one wedding?

My whole wedding was planned by my husband, myself & wedding planner. It was indeed lovely and till today, I cite my wedding as an example of how truly Singaporean we are! Wishing all brides a blissful journey ahead of them.

Angelica wins a free makeover from Looks Studio!
